Hot headed and arrogant. Those are the two words -3...4 words?- that describe Chaska the best. When it comes to most, if not all, things Chaska is always right. Period. She refuses to agree with you and will twist your own thoughts around to make you believe what she's saying as well - so it's a good thing she's intelligent. That doesn't go to say that she's a bad leader, not at all, she's actually very good at this job. She's quick to take charge when things go wrong and is always two steps ahead of her opponent - whether that opponent is another horse or mother nature herself. However, she is never the first one to get to the end of their rope. She is, for the most part, calm and collected. You can tell that she's upset, but not so much that she goes hay-wire. Her calming ability over other horses and her manipulation strageties are put to work in such situations.
Chaska is no doubt a "full of yourself" type of mare. With her every step you can tell that she is proud of herself - overly so. While she seemingly floats across the ground the earth she walks on almost appears to bow to her - though that is completely outrageous. It's just the way she carries herself that will drive you into seeing this illusion.
When it comes to foals and young ones, however, she is more kind and sweet. Her motherly instinct runs strong in her veins and she finds herself smiling a lot more often when there is a foal in her presence - no one knows why.

d**n I Sure Look Fine
d**n I Sure Look Fine
{Eyes}I'm Not The Girl You Think I Am----> Chaska's eyes are a very curious thing. Not because of their color, but simply because of what you see when looking into them. They are black.
{Mane}I've Gone Through More Than I Can Stand----> The closest color that would match her mane is dirty blonde. The roots are near white while the ends are a dark brown with a small amount of red.
{Tail}Sinking Down Onto My Knees----> The rim at the base of her tail is white, but the rest is brown with a slight red hue.
{Height}I Take A Breath----> 16 hands
{Over-all Appearance}And Try To Breathe----> Chaska is no doubt a beautiful creature, with fine fir and long tassels. Her body is basically the definition of the Andalusian - though we're sure there was some cross-breeding somewhere along the way. Standing at 15.3 hands (give or take, you can never be totally accurate) Chaska steps with a high and proud gate. She has a lean, medium-length head with large, black eyes. She has a long, sloping shoulder and clean legs. Her pelt, along with 80% of the breed, is gray. Though with a slight brown hue in some places and more white in others. Her head, neck, chest, back, and sides are a peachy white, making her appear more that "white kind of gray" than dapple. Her rump, however, is dappled. Though gray, it fades into brown and then into a full colored gray. The top half of her back legs are is dappled brown while the bottom of her legs a dark bay. She has black points. Moving back up to her face, her eyes are black, seeming to swirl with all of the emotions she has felt time and time again over the years. Like most horses, her eyes tell all, so just take the time to look. She doesn't have particularly long or short ears, though the base is wide and the tips of them rounded. Her mane is a combination of white, brown and red - though chestnut would be the more official term. It's long and thick, covering the left side of her neck and leaving the right side bare. Her hooves are a dark peachy-brown, though they do appear black if she is not in direct sunlight. Her tail is just as thick - if not thicker - as her mane, brushing against her legs as she moves.

{History}Feel The Pain
{First Years}My Crimson Rain----> Unlucky. That's probably the word that best describes Chaska's up bringing. Born in the deserts, it was soon seen that she just wasn't fit for such a life. Her parents and siblings were well adapted to the area, but she found it hard to do anything in the deep sand and with little water. Her mother was Sariah, her father Toren, and she had Xeneo and Shart to play with - along with the other herd members, even if she despised the heat. When she turned 1 month, however, her health began to deteriorate and it became more than just complaining. The whites of her eyes became a slight yellow and her muscle mass thinned considerably. She became weak and was being pushed down the dominance chain in the herd by the other foals because of her weakness. It wasn't anything personal, but rank counted for everything there - and she currently wasn't worth crap. She was nothing more than a hold back. Her father, being the lead of the herd, had a responsibility and ordered the death of Chaska. Her mother, trying to protect the young filly, fled to the freedom lands. She went to a foal paradise of sorts, where the grass was long and the water plenty. Here, Chaska thrived, becoming better and better with every day. But Sariah couldn't stay there forever and had to return to her mate and herd. She planned to leave with Chaska and begin a ritual to the place, but they didn't leave before they were confronted by a couple who were mourning the loss of their own filly. They lived in a rainforest, where food was plenty and water dripped from the trees. Deciding that it was best for Chaska, Sariah handed her over. Her new mother was Yasmine and her new father Sergent.
{Teenage Songs}Blinding My Sight----> After regaining full health and spending time with her new parents, the memory of her time in the deserts soon faded away into nothing but a dream. She grew up happy, playing with the other foals and laughing when they would get in trouble. But all good things die and Sergent - her new father - was, apparently, no exception. He died of an unknown illness when she was 2, leaving Yasmine and Chaska behind. Both were devestated, but pushed on for eachother's sake. Knowing that if one died the other would have no reason to live and would eventually die off too - even if Yasmine did not have long to wait. Only a few months later, she too died, of the same illness that took Chaska's father. Chaska was forced to keep her rank in the herd without her parents to guide her, refusing to be over come by a colt of another filly. The instinct of herd leadership was still strong inside of her and would never fade. The Alphess, who was baren, watched Chaska, and it was then the Chaska was told that she was to be the new Alphess.
{Adulthood Wisdom}And Staining My Soul----> When the two leaders died, as promised, Chaska became Alphess and soon found a mate to help run things. His name was Ember, a bright chesnut with a fiery, if slightly arrogant attitude. Together, they led the herd and took it to great heights, creating one of the biggest herds in the lands. Only a month after taking the throne, Chaska mated and gave birth to a still-born son. Not much later, they bred again and this time, she was lucky enough to give birth to twins. However, all was not well. Her herd and anothers had become enemies, fighting over terratory and food. The other herd sent assassins after the twins and slaughtered them. Devasted, Chaska had to leave, thinking that it was all her fault when, in reality, it wasn't. She left the herd in Embers hands and became a wanderer, looking for a place where she belonged.
