Out of Character Rules[/u]
- ES does hold activity checks every two months. You will have up to two weeks to reply to these activity checks. If they are not replied too, you're account is deleted. There is no sense in having inactive accounts lying around.
- No power playing or god modeling. Power playing is where you basically choose what the other player's character does or chooses his results of what you're character does to it without giving the other Role Player time to react. God modeling is where you make you're character invincible and indestructible.
- ES does allow cursing in character and out of character. Just do not abuse this privilege and make you or you're character a complete potty mouth, because than it just gets obnoxious.
- If you will be gone for more than three days post in the away board.
- Respect all staff, members, and guests that are on ES. If they annoy you just ignore them. And if you just feel the impulse that you must argue with this person, do it through PM, unless it's a guest, than I don't care how much the impulse is, just ignore them.
- I like to think of ES as a very member obligated site, meaning the members choose the majority of what goes on here, I like it to be member friendly. But I do get the last say on things around here, so if you want something to be put into action that is out of the ordinary of what is allowed, PM me and gain my approval first.
- One picture per signature and no bigger than 400 in width and 200 in height. Small is good, because small doesn't stretch the site, small doesn't make things look crammed and disgusting. =)
- The staff chosen for ES are chosen for being trustworthy, responsible and kind. So what we say goes. If you feel that a ES staff member isn't being trustworthy, responsible or kind. Please PM with proof with a description of why you don't think they are and a print screen with proof to back up you're opinion. If you have no back up, you have no reason to PM me and it will be ignored. Basically, just listen to staff, we aren't going to be controlling dictators, we're just making sure everyone follows by the rules.
- Oh dear God, please please please PLEASE use complete sentences IN and OUT of posting. Chat speak gets on my nerves to no end. And if someone talks to me in chat speak, I will tell you right now, I WILL ignore you until you ask me using the oh so very pretty complete sentences.
- Out of character spelling isn't that big of a deal, as I suck at it too, but at least try.
Character Creation[/u]
- You're joining topic must consist of the horses name, age, breed, height, gender, appearance, personality, history, and alliance.
- If you are using a picture instead of a description of the horse (or both) than please make all pictures links. (meaning do not use IMG tags, use LINKS!)
- Personality and history need to be at least four sentences long. This isn't hard. Really, that's actually quite short. Be as detailed as possible. But at least four sentences long.
- Make you're horses height and coloration realistic to it's breed. There are plenty of places online with information about horse breeds, look it up.
- There are no limits to characters, you may have as many as you like. If we get too many of one breed, gender, or alliance temporary bans will be placed on creating anymore of that breed, gender, or alliance for a while. Do not make all you're characters stallions. Limit yourself on them please. But there can never be too many mares.
- Do not join a mare pregnant. You can join a mare and than join her foal. Or join a foal. But do not join a mare pregnant. And I know it's hard to resist the sad story of an orphan, but don't everyone create an orphaned foal one or two every once in a while is fine, but don't make it seem like a continuous occurance.
- The alliances are Dark, Light and Neutral. Choose wisely, as once you're character is created you may not go back and edit anything about it once it has been accepted.
- You must than wait for a staff member to accept you're character.
Posting Rules[/u]
- 250+ words minimum.
- You may not post until you're character is accepted.
- Four months = One year. The Seasons: Winter, Spring, Summer and Autumn.
- No power playing or god modeling. Power playing is where you basically choose what the other player's character does or chooses his results of what you're character does to it without giving the other Role Player time to react. God modeling is where you make you're character invincible and indestructible.
- Be descriptive.
- SPELL CHECK!
Land/Mare Claiming Rules[/u]
- Stallions can claim lands. But they must be at least three years of age and only one land per stallion. The claiming of lands isn't like the normal claiming of lands. We offer Five territories, inside each territory the lands will be made. (view Land Creation board for more information).
- Stallions may only claim mares once they have lands.
- There is no limit to how many mares a stallion may claim, but please, I know we like to make our boys to be whores and to have the biggest herds of them all, but we can't have EVERY mare, leave topics open. Or do as I am doing and create a topic for people to reply too if they want one of my boys to claim their mares. (link in my siggy for example on that)
- Force claim is allowed, but the mare has the right to challenge the stallion to keep her freedom. In which case you must battle it out with her. Or if you are stealing a mare from a stallion you must battle the stallion for the mare. And than once that battle is over the mare still may decide she doesn't want to go with you're stallion and you'll have to fight her as well.
Breeding/Birthing Rules[/u]
- Breeding is only allowed in Spring and Autumn. (every other month).
- Breeding must be done in Conceiving Lands. You do not have to roleplay out the breeding if you don't wish too. You can simply just post the form if you want. If you wish to roleplay it out, go ahead. But the form must still be used.
- Mares and stallions must be three years or older to breed.
- No graphic breeding. The ---fades to black--- is not over rated. =)
- No force breeding.
- Mares can only breed when the last foal they had is one year of age or if it has died. (but do not kill off your foals simply because you do not like them and wish to do a redo, that will only get you banned).
- Staff chooses foal stats.
- After foal stats are given, mares may report to the Foaling Grounds whenever she wishes.
- Birthing is not to be graphic either.
- Use the following form when posting Breeding Stats. Both stallion and mare must fill this out.
[size=1][b]Name[/b]:
[b]Breed[/b]:
[b]Gender[/b]:
[b]Height[/b]:
[b]Eye Color[/b]:
[b]Mane/Tail Color[/b]:
[b]Main Color[/b]:
[b]Markings[/b]:
[b]Alliance[/b]: - Player of the mare will get to decide who plays the foal. Whoever plays the foal will need to make a topic in joining for their foal though so that it can be counted as a charrie.
Battle Rules[/u]
- Anything can be fought over, except lands, since each player gets to create their lands for their stallion.
- Five attacks allowed per player. Only one attack per post.
- Not replying within 3 days of the battle will cause a default loss and opponent will win. (Unless you have posted in the away board and than you have until the day AFTER you're expected arrival back to post).
- No power playing or god modeling. Power playing in fighting means you cannot choose how much damage you do onto the other player, but in fighting complete dodges are not allowed either, so post what you're character does, but not the damage you're character inflicts. You're characters cannot be invincible. No dodging allowed. The player will post what their character does and you may choose how much damage it does on you're character, you may allow you're character to try and dodge and receive the attack elsewhere, but no complete dodges. But be realistic people.
- After fighting you're character must wait at least three days before they are allowed to battle again. (meaning no one can challenge you within those three days either though. If you stole a mare and the mare wishes to challenge you she must wait at least three days before she can fight for her freedom).
- Staff will judge the fights.
Other Rules[/u]
- Check back here periodically to check for rule updates.
Staff Rules[/u]
- Make sure members are following rules.
- Set good examples for the members.

- Help me keep up with link backing, and at least advertise a little. (after making sure a site has our ad on it, LOCK the topic so the rest of us know).
- Accept new characters. Make sure that they follow creation guidelines, are as descriptive as requires above and include everything. If they have messed up/missed out on something, reply to the topic telling them what they need to do. If they have done everything right, use the form below, reply to the topic, and than LOCK it.
